failwall

about failwall

I spent two weeks making an AI agent that did not run. I worked hard and was excited about the project. The failure, rather than making me upset and depressed, was a source of pride. It made me realize what I did not know. It made me think again about how I'd approach a project, and how I'd do things differently the next time.

I could not push my code to Github and write a fancy readme for the project. I failed. But that failure is worth far more.

I built the failwall because failures deserve a place. You post a failure, write what you tried, what happened, and what you learned. You can keep it private, or make it public and share it.

about me

I, Ralph Burton, love building things, and will one day make a unicorn. I work making automation tools for a sales team, and when I am not working, I am thinking and making projects that will move society forward.

I also write a finance blog which dissects financial reporting, highlighting epistemological faults, and articulates an investment philosophy grounded in a probabilistic, expected value framework.
